The Markets Data Steward is responsible for the coordination and execution of activities relating to Data Concerns Remediation Management (DCRM) program throughout Markets. Requires understanding of Markets Products, Finance and Risk Functions and how they contribute to the objectives of the overall business. Incident ticket management within markets liaising across various functions to progress and remediate data quality issues through engagement with technology, operations and business partners.

Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. May occasionally assume informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.

Responsibilities
  • Data Quality Incident ticket management throughout all lifecycles, adhering to established service level agreements
  • Engagement with Markets Data Governance Office and Enterprise Data Office teams in the delivery of DCRM (data concern and remediation management)
  • Co-ordinate DCRM activities across various Markets products including hosting calls with technology and data owners providing relevant updates
  • Support Markets Technology by providing relevant knowledge to ensure efficient design, development, and implementation of related projects
  • Support Markets Data Managers and Data Domain Owners in accordance with Enterprise Data Governance Policy
  • Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within own business analysis area to resolve issues
  • Monitor and report governance metrics for aligned asset class
  • Monitor alignment of processes across business, functions and lines of business to the Enterprise Data Governance Policy and standards to meet its specific requirements
  • Contribute to producing recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding policies, standards and procedures
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a Data Governance, Data Management or related area
  • Strong project management skills
  • Optimizes work processes by knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, while monitoring tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
  • Ability to host and effectively lead meetings to achieve common goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience required
