Expected Salary: £45,000 - £58,000 FTE (dependent on experience). Please note this will be prorated to 21 hours.

Contract type: This position is a 6-month Fixed Term contract, working 21 hours per week, starting ASAP.

Working pattern/flexible working: The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture of office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Build to Rent team aims for around 1 core day a week in the office (Thursdays) and on an ad-hoc basis for key meetings.

Location: This role is based at our London Head Office in Pimlico. Travel expenses for visits to our John Lewis BTR sites can be claimed. No travel allowance is provided.

Next Steps: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to present a campaign they have owned and delivered, including a creative overview, channel plan, and performance summary. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 26th May 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop end-to-end marketing campaigns for John Lewis, focusing on brand, seasonal, and category campaigns.
  • Own the marketing activity from brief to development, delivery, and measurement, aligning with marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with creative teams and external agencies to develop TTL marketing plans.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure the optimal mix of paid media and owned channels to meet campaign objectives.
  • Utilize insight and customer segmentation to drive effective campaign outcomes.
  • Manage campaign budgets to maximize ROI and meet objectives.
  • Apply best practices in marketing, driven by customer behavior and motivation.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and work collaboratively within matrix teams.
Primary Outcomes and Accountabilities
  • Oversee campaign management and delivery for the Build-To-Rent business.
  • Coordinate with the Brand Marketing Lead and BTR team for consistent marketing implementation.
  • Brief and influence channels and agencies for optimal campaign planning.
  • Define and communicate a clear customer experience vision across all channels.
  • Develop and implement advertising plans aligned with overall strategies.
  • Ensure claims are accurate and compliant with CAP & ASA codes.
  • Engage stakeholders throughout campaign development.
  • Evaluate creative concepts and media plans, managing production quality and budget.
  • Manage media planning, booking, and delivery to maximize reach, frequency, and ROI.
  • Build relationships with internal and external media and content teams.
  • Plan, forecast, and report on campaign budgets and performance, including financial processes.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end marketing campaigns, including creative and media planning.
  • Experience working with creative/media agencies and in-house teams.
  • Ability to develop creative ideas and oversee content production.
  • Understanding of omni-channel marketing and commercial awareness.
  • Strong stakeholder management, planning, and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Marketing or Business degree or equivalent.
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.
  • Experience with start-up brands is advantageous.
