Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The International Marketing team is responsible for the planning and execution of multi-territory media campaigns to support the sale of digital product throughout a film’s life cycle including Premium Windows, EST and VOD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brief and oversee multi-territory media plans and work collaboratively with local teams (if required) to ensure campaigns are nuanced and tailored for markets.
Manage local clients across a portfolio of territories: presenting upcoming titles, collaborating on in-market support, creating opportunities for Universal title promotion, and approving marketing materials developed by licensees.
Represent Universal on any industry bodies and trade-wide initiatives within the managed territories.
In tandem with creative and brand teams in Los Angeles HQ, develop, localise, and seek approval for campaign creative as required by media plan.
Support budget-spend tracking and financial pacing for a selection of titles, ensure budget documents are up to date and accurate.
Align Marketing and Account Management to define strategic opportunities and priorities for titles and key account support.
Work collaboratively across business units, e.g. Theatrical, consumer products, physical licensees, and brand / franchise teams to maximise lifecycle opportunities of managed titles.
Collaborate with Social/Influencer leads to determine wither budget permits activation.
Assist with the briefing PR campaigns to agencies as required.
Align with Trade Marketing across key local and multi-territory customers and work closely with Creative Services for delivery.
Monitor campaign results closely and carefully manage media agency to deliver in-line with plan.
Deliver campaign post campaign wrap-up and contribute to film-maker presentations.
Qualifications
Familiarity and interest in the business of entertainment and, specifically, digital media and content distribution
Extensive experience marketing (3+years) and leading product releases across multiple markets
Strong commercial acumen, proven track record of driving revenue
Excellent written/oral communication, coordination skills, and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse team
Experience in building and maintaining key multi-territory customer relationships
Ability to handle short deadlines/turnarounds and multiple competing priorities
Flexibility of working hours (interaction with teams in the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia)
Preferred
Previous experience at a studio, label, or digital platform
Previous experience in media, marketing account management, or business development - preferably with an analytic focus
Cross-territory responsibility
Language skills are highly desirable; especially Spanish (inc LAS), Portuguese (inc BPO) or French.
