Marketing Lead – Creative and Planning
Salary - £30,000-£40,000 (dependent on experience)
FT 35 hours per week
Hybrid - Monthly travel involved to our offices in London or Folkestone
Saga Insurance is seeking a Marketing Lead to support the Marketing Manager; Creative & Planning in transforming marketing campaign briefs into high-performing, platform-ready creative assets.
This role will serve as the primary contact for creative coordination, assisting the Marketing Teams in developing key creative plans and working closely with our in-house creative team. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of through-the-line creative from concept to completion across channels, maintaining consistency throughout the customer journey, and aligning with the overall brand and creative vision.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, collaborate effectively with internal and external parties, and showcase creative work that drives performance and innovation. You will also liaise with teams across the business, including Brand, Risk & Product, and our marketing agencies.
Role Responsibilities
- Planning and Coordination
- Manage creative requests from the marketing team, ensuring all briefs are clear, comprehensive, and meet quality standards for the Marketing Manager; Creative & Planning, internal creative team, and external suppliers.
- Coordinate the production schedule with the Marketing Manager; Creative & Planning, copywriters, and designers to set priorities, manage deadlines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support quarterly through-the-line creative refreshes across Home, Car, Health, and Travel Insurance, from brief to delivery, ensuring consistency throughout the customer journey across marketing channels.
- Assist with wider campaign planning, from product offers to large-scale ATL campaigns.
- Facilitate cross-pollination of agency creative work into BAU executions.
- Support the Marketing Manager; Creative & Planning to ensure the overall quality and consistency of creative output, adhering to industry standards and brand guidelines.
Asset Approval, Supply, and Management- Coordinate and handle marketing material approvals to industry standards via internal circulation among stakeholders for performance marketing and ATL activities.
- Supply approved creative assets to media agencies and support QA processes, including paid search, paid social, display, native, and press.
- Support annual website article updates and content renewal.
- Manage and update the central substantiation log.
Nurturing Creative Excellence- Assist in bringing customer insights and testimonials into the creative journey.
- Manage creative catalogues, ensuring continuous updates and consistency across the marketing journey.
- Support Creative Marketing Manager in creating synergies across marketing teams, running creative workshops, and coordinating outputs.
- Stay informed on industry trends, creative innovations, and emerging technologies to guide creative direction.
- Work with marketing teams to surface insights and learnings from tests and creative activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in creative campaign planning, especially across digital platforms.
- Understanding of the marketing material development process.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with various organizational levels.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong digital marketing channel knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in regulated environments is highly advantageous.
