Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer working remotely covering Kent.

Reporting into the Regional Business Manager, you will work as part of a team of Mobile Refrigeration Engineers covering an area across Kent. The focus will be the maintenance and repair of Thermo King Refrigeration equipment used on large distribution vehicles. Our customers are busier than ever, so providing high levels of customer care is paramount for the success of our business and employees. The role duties include:

• Installation, servicing, and repair of vehicle-powered road transport refrigeration units, managing costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximizing revenue.
• Optimizing and maintaining engineer van stock to ensure excellent service delivery to MFS customers.
• Carrying out daily safety checks on the company van.
• Maintaining product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9002 standards, including training at our dedicated centre in Aldridge, Birmingham, and self-development through Certi-Tech certification.
• Liaising with central control and/or the service centre regarding job start and completion times, downtime, overtime, cost updates, and customer purchase orders.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and online (PDA) requirements to ensure high standards of customer interface and invoicing, keeping the customer informed.
• Assisting with planning, installations, and commissioning.
• Performing other duties and projects relevant to the position.
• Adhering to company procedures, health & safety policies, and ISO9002 standards.
• Supervising apprentices or engineers in training where applicable.
• Prioritizing customer service and maintaining a professional image (self, van, tools, spares).

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold an F-Gas qualification and a relevant C&G or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, or commercial engineering, along with high customer care standards, is required. Willingness to undertake extensive training on Thermo King equipment is essential, with prior knowledge an advantage.
