Smile Kitchens is hiring a Marketing Executive to own a broad mix of content, email marketing, website updates, SEO and reporting. You will work with the Marketing Manager and broader business, taking ownership, spotting opportunities, and driving commercial outcomes in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in Blackburn and a proactive, autonomous culture. 3+ years in marketing and strong SEO/CRM skills are valued.
At Smile Kitchens, we believe in creating more than just beautiful kitchens; we design spaces that bring joy, creativity, and connection into people’s homes. We’re a growing, design‑led D2C brand of around 40 people. We operate online‑only, direct to our customers, and move fast.
This is a hands‑on, entrepreneurial environment where ideas move quickly, priorities can evolve, and there’s plenty of opportunity to take ownership and make things happen. It’s a scale‑up full of ideas, with real variety and real ownership on offer, and none of the layers or red tape of a big corporation.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive Marketing Executive who wants genuine ownership rather than a narrowly defined role. We want someone who can take a brief, use their judgement, get things moving, and improve the way we do things along the way.
You’ll own a varied mix of content, email marketing, website updates, SEO and reporting, working closely with the Marketing Manager and the wider business. There’s plenty of support when you need it, but we won’t be looking over your shoulder; we want someone who takes responsibility for their work, spots opportunities, brings commercially minded ideas to the table, and can influence the people around them to move initiatives forward.
It’s a broad role by design, and a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, wants to see the direct impact of your work, and is excited by helping to build the marketing function as the business grows.
Drive our organic growth, planning and executing a keyword and content strategy that grows traffic, builds authority in the kitchen and home space, and reduces our reliance on paid to bring customer acquisition costs down.
Carry out keyword research and use it to shape content, page structure, and copy.
Plan and produce SEO‑driven blogs and landing pages that rank and convert.
Optimise on‑page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, URLs, internal linking, image alt text) and monitor rankings, traffic, and performance to keep finding opportunities.
Stay on top of algorithm changes and evolving best practices and work alongside our SEO freelancer to deliver the wider organic strategy.
Own the day‑to‑day content and accuracy of the Smile Kitchens website, new products, blogs, and landing pages, so customers always have clear, up‑to‑date information and a smooth journey from browsing to booking an appointment.
Treat the site as a key marketing channel; keep content accurate and well optimised, monitor performance and customer journeys, identify issues and opportunities, and work with our development partners to improve the experience and conversion.
Build and manage customer segments and hands‑on email campaigns, including behaviour and trigger‑based email sequences aligned to those segments.
Develop CRM campaigns that support product launches and wider commercial goals.
Maintain strong data quality and a solid understanding of GDPR and compliance.
Analyse CRM performance and drive continuous improvement.
Write clear, engaging copy across email, web, and other channels.
Design clean, on‑brand email layouts that are engaging and easy to read.
Own visibility of marketing performance, including reporting on appointment numbers, turning the numbers into actionable insight for marketing and the wider business.
Bring commercially minded ideas to the table, make the case for them, and influence stakeholders across the business to break down barriers and move initiatives forward.
