The Marketing Campaigns Team is led by the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment. The Marketing Campaigns Officer / Marketing Campaigns Assistant will report directly to the Marketing Campaigns Manager and is responsible for development and delivery of marketing campaigns that are core to the University’s marketing and student recruitment strategy. The successful candidate will work across digital and traditional media.
The successful candidate will be offered the Marketing Campaigns Officer (Grade 6) or Marketing Campaigns Assistant (Grade 5) role based on their current experience.
The University will consider applications from those who wish to work in a hybrid manner, with some time working from home and some time based in the office. There will also be a requirement for successful candidates to attend Aberystwyth University Events on campus (Open Days, Applicant Events, Campus Tours, Clearing Call Centre) at various points in the year.

Essential – Marketing Campaigns Officer (Grade 6):
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
2. Demonstrable evidence of experience working in a marketing/communications role across traditional and digital media.
3. An understanding of CRM systems and their use in lead nurturing and conversion.
4. Experience of successfully managing numerous marketing campaigns or projects simultaneously.
5. Experience of undertaking and utilising market research to inform marketing or campaign planning.
6. Experience of tracking, analysing and reporting on marketing media performance, including making recommendations on future improvements.
7. An understanding of the importance of brand identity, consistency and management.
8. Willingness and ability to work flexibly: you may be required to travel nationally, working away from home. Weekend and evening work will be required.
9. Highly developed written and oral communication skills in both English and Welsh. Welsh ability should be at level C1.
Desirable
1. Professional Marketing or Communications related qualification.
2. Experience of working in the Higher Education sector.
3. Experience of working with a CRM system.
4. Oral (spoken) and Written Welsh Level C2.*

2. Experience of working in an office-based role, with responsibility for communicating with a range of stakeholders.
3. An understanding of the marketing function, including the importance of market research.
4. Experience of using traditional and digital marketing channels.
5. Experience of analysing data, creating and presenting reports.
6. An understanding of the importance of brand management.
7. Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
8. Willingness and ability to work flexibly: weekend and evening work will be required.
9. Oral (spoken) and Written Welsh Level C1.*
Desirable
1. Familiarity with the Higher Education sector.
