We are seeking a creative and ambitious Marketing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing programs to support the acquisition and retention of users on the Artnet platform across Artnet’s core product offerings; Marketplace (Auctions & Galleries), Media (News & Artnet PRO), and Data (Price Database).
The job is a hybrid position, with the opportunity to utilize our London office, located in the historic arts space at Cromwell Place, London.
Email Program
- Support the creation and deployment of an extensive email program to ensure timely delivery across Braze (Customer Engagement Platform).
- Work with the product teams (Auctions, Galleries, News and Data) to source all assets for our email programs.
- Work with the sales team to ensure client advertising assets are delivered in a timely manner.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team at Artnet to manage data lists for email campaigns.
- Oversee email performance data, ensuring these are updated and available to the marketing, sales and product teams.
Campaign Administration
- Support in the deployment of campaigns across search, social and display advertising channels.
- Work with the product teams (Auctions, Galleries, News and Data) to collate all assets for our various always on and tactical campaigns.
- Work closely with our design agency to supply all campaign assets to our digital agency to deadline.
- Assist the management of our run of site adverts across Artnet.com working to a calendar of planned activity.
- Collate all campaign performance data, ensuring these are updated and available to the marketing, sales and product teams.
Social Media
- Assist the Social Media Manager in developing and executing a full content program across Artnet’s social media accounts, supporting key engagement and reach metrics.
- Assist in producing editorial content, including video and features, for distribution across our web platforms, email, social media and advertising.
- Monitor social media analytics and support in the preparation of reports and presentations on the performance of our social media platforms, including organic and paid programs.
- Think creatively and pitch ideas for new original content series in alignment with our business and marketing strategies.
- Support content projects for our luxury brand partners and art world clients.
Other duties
- Make selected updates to our web platforms in support of marketing initiatives.
- Update regular reporting on marketing campaign performance and KPIs.
- Monitor and record all competitor activity across email, campaigns, social media to report back to the marketing and wider product teams as requested.
- Create decks for internal stakeholders and external partner presentations.
- Process all our marketing invoices working with our Accounts department to ensure payment is actioned to deadline.
- Monitor client requests to the Marketing email inbox and action as needed.
- Other tasks as directed by the Marketing Director.
Requirements
Essential
- A self-starter with a hunger to develop and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- 1+ years of marketing experience in a growth context
- Experience in executing impactful email campaigns and supporting a social media program.
- Superb editorial and copywriting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Highly organized with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, pivoting between creative and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred
- Multimedia talent (including video editing, audio production, and Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop and InDesign and Premiere Pro)
- Knowledge of Customer Engagement Platforms, including Braze, Iterable or similar or Email Service Provider, including SailThru, MailChimp or similar.
- Knowledge of social media scheduling platforms, including HootSuite, Sprout Social, Later, or similar.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4.
- Knowledge of project management tools, including Trello, Asana, or similar.
- Knowledge of art history and the contemporary art world, with a hunger to stay abreast of the latest events and trends.
