Job summary

NHS Supply Chain, operated by Supply Chain Coordination Limited, is seeking a Market Researcher on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract in a hybrid role (Nottingham two days on-site). You will design and deliver research projects that generate insights to support decision‑making and business growth.

The role requires experience in both qualitative and quantitative research, strong analytical skills, and the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience working in a research or insight environment.
  • Experience of conducting B2B research.
  • Strong expertise in designing and delivering qualitative and quantitative research projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify meaningful insights from a range of research and data sources.
  • Confident engaging, influencing and presenting to a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Experience using research platforms and tools such as Qualtrics, NVivo, or similar.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and storytelling skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to building partnerships across teams.
  • A proactive, positive approach and a genuine willingness to get stuck in and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of research projects, from design and fieldwork through to analysis, reporting and presentation.
  • Act as a trusted research expert, advising colleagues on robust and effective research approaches, particularly qualitative methodologies.
  • Design the most appropriate research methods to answer business challenges and information needs.
  • Work closely with teams across NHS Supply Chain to identify, develop and deliver research and insight opportunities.
  • Transform complex findings into engaging stories and actionable insights for a wide range of audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to support collaborative working.
  • Contribute to the wider research programme, delivering impactful insights at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Lead and nurture our cross-organisational research community, helping to establish and promote best practice and quality standards.
  • Chair and coordinate our external research seminar series, bringing in expert voices and fresh perspectives on topics that matter to our organisation.

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

We are looking for a curious, analytical, and commercially minded Market Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will design and deliver research projects that generate meaningful customer, healthcare landscape, and wider innovation research insights. They will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand key challenges, identify opportunities, and turn data into actionable recommendations that support decision-making and business growth.
