Face to Face Social Market Research Interviewer – Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles
Have you ever wondered where statistics like “36% of Britons think the government should reduce income tax” come from?
As a Social Market Research Interviewer, you will be interviewing members of the public, mostly in their homes. You will be provided with a device to ask for their opinions on a wide range of subjects and record their responses. We work on behalf of various clients, from government bodies to public sector organizations. Your data collection will support improvements in public services, shape governmental and corporate policies, and influence public policy across the UK.
We regularly recruit throughout the UK. If you are over 18, personable, confident when meeting new people, have a vehicle and a valid UK driving license, and want to earn money while impacting public policy, then this is the role for you!
Pay rate: £15.12* per hour (£13.50 per hour + £1.62 holiday pay) outside London, a £500 joiner bonus**, plus travel expenses, with potential for increased earnings with experience.
In London (within M25): £18.15* per hour (£16.20 per hour + £1.95 holiday pay), a £500 joiner bonus**, plus travel expenses, with potential for increased earnings with experience.
You will speak to a variety of people daily. Building rapport and encouraging participation are key aspects of the role.
Some assignments are local; others may require travel up to 30 miles or more. Travel expenses are paid.
We provide comprehensive fully-paid training to ensure your success. Our training team supports you in-person on your first day and remains available throughout your employment.
This flexible, customer service and market research role allows some control over your schedule. We ask for a commitment of at least 16-20 hours per week, mainly in afternoons, evenings, and weekends, when research in homes is most effective. You can adapt your hours around other commitments.
You will knock on doors to secure participation, with training provided to improve success. Engagement is facilitated by pre-contact letters and flexible appointment scheduling. Participants may receive incentives to take part.
You will be assigned to a large geographic area, traveling up to 30 miles or more. Mileage is reimbursed. Access to a car is generally required, especially outside London; alternative transportation options are available within London.
