Job Description:

Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.

The role involves working as part of a lean team of professionals in the buy-side data space, reporting directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with global functions to manage and improve internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv.

The core responsibilities include managing market data vendors and contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), onboarding new partners, and participating in projects to enhance internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools.

This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM / Market Data Analyst / Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor, though exceptional juniors may also be considered. Candidates must be willing to work in a lean team and adopt a hands-on approach. A strong academic background is required.
