Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with different global functions to ensure efficient management and improvement of internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities. You will manage market data vendors, all relevant contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), and oversee onboarding of new partners. Additionally, you will play a key role in major projects to enhance internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools for the team.
This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to step up may also be considered. Candidates must be willing to work in a lean team and adopt a hands-on approach. A strong academic profile is required.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary with potential for significant increases, along with industry-leading benefits. Top performers typically receive substantial bonuses.
