Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. You will collaborate with various global functions to ensure internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders (such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv) are managed efficiently.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities. You will work with and manage market data vendors, handle all relevant contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), and oversee onboarding of new partners. Additionally, you will contribute to major projects aimed at improving internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integration of new tools.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to step up may also be considered. Candidates must be comfortable working in a lean team and adopting a hands-on approach. A strong academic background is preferred.
The client is committed to offering a competitive salary increase for the successful candidate. Top performers typically receive substantial bonuses, and the firm provides an industry-leading benefits package.
