Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking an Obsolescence Manager to lead obsolescence work packages across maritime defence projects. Hybrid working with Loudwater or Greenford home sites. You will manage obsolescence risk, lifecycle data, and cross-functional collaboration within the Support Engineering function.

The ideal candidate has defence industry exposure or demonstrable obsolescence management skills, plus a background in component engineering. BPSS/SC clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Obsolescence management experience in defence or aviation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle and obsolescence risk.
• Knowledge of PMRP tools (IFS) and SQL databases is advantageous.
• Ability to obtain SC clearance is required or possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead obsolescence work packages and coordinate cross-functional inputs.
• Identify obsolescence across product lines and support mitigation activities.
• Manage ERP or lifecycle data related to obsolescence to support engineering users.
• Provide planning and estimation input for new projects related to obsolescence risk.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers in obsolescence best practice.
