Job summary

Dorset-based aviation specialist seeks an experienced Obsolescence Manager to lead and develop the Obsolescence Management function, ensuring airworthiness, availability and operational performance across the fleet. The role is hybrid with regular on-site attendance at HQ Dorset.

You will develop and implement the Obsolescence Management System, identify and mitigate risks, work with OEMs, repair organisations and design authorities, and support safety management systems and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO) and/or Obsolescence Management.
• Strong knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, UK Military and FAA regulations.
• Experience in a regulated aviation or aerospace environment.
• Sound understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001.
• Technical qualifications such as EASA/CAA Part 66 licence or aerospace degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Obsolescence Management function.
• Develop and implement the Obsolescence Management System and processes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate obsolescence risks for aircraft, engines and components.
• Ensure compliance with EASA/CAA/FAA requirements.
• Maintain compliance monitoring and assurance.
• Collaborate with OEMs, repair organisations and design authorities.
• Support Safety Management System (SMS) and flight-safety reporting.
• Manage audit findings and corrective actions.
• Provide specialist consultancy on obsolescence matters.
• Support delivery of operational and financial targets.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Respond to urgent operational requirements outside normal hours.
