Electus Recruitment Solutions seeks a seasoned professional to lead obsolescence management across complex aviation systems in a defence aerospace context. You will drive the development and ongoing management of an effective obsolescence program to protect aircraft availability and mission capability.

Based in the UK with a hybrid pattern, the role can be Bournemouth or Teesside, with some domestic and international travel.

Formación

  • Proven experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management and obsolescence management within aviation/aerospace.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK and international aviation regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements.
  • Relevant technical qualification such as an aircraft maintenance licence, aerospace or aeronautical engineering degree.
  • Experience working with technical authorities, OEMs, repair organisations or other engineering stakeholders.
  • British nationality is required for this role.
  • Salary up to £65,000 with hybrid pattern and career development within defence environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the development and ongoing management of an effective obsolescence management system.
  • Identify, assess and resolve obsolescence risks affecting aircraft, engines, components and mission equipment.
  • Develop practical solutions with suppliers, technical authorities and engineering stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure obsolescence activities support continuing airworthiness requirements.
  • Support safety and quality activities including corrective actions arising from audits and investigations.
  • Provide technical advice on obsolescence matters while contributing to operational and commercial performance.

About the organisation

This established defence aerospace organisation provides specialist aviation services that support operational readiness, training and mission capability. Its work involves complex aircraft platforms, regulated engineering environments and close collaboration with customers, suppliers and technical authorities across the UK and internationally.

The role

You will get the opportunity to make an impact on aircraft availability and operational readiness while developing your career in defence aerospace. This is an opportunity to lead obsolescence management across complex aviation systems and help ensure that technical risks are identified and resolved before they affect operational capability.

What you will need
  • British nationality is required for this role.
  • Proven experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management and obsolescence management within an aviation or aerospace environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable UK and international aviation regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements.
  • A relevant technical qualification such as an aircraft maintenance licence, aerospace or aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working with technical authorities, original equipment manufacturers, repair organisations or other specialist engineering stakeholders.
  • Salary and rewards Up to £65,000 plus a hybrid working pattern and genuine scope for career development within a specialist defence environment.
Your role

Your experience
  • Technical experience across continuing airworthiness, aircraft support or aerospace engineering.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and their application within engineering environments.
  • Practical knowledge of obsolescence management, lifecycle risks and engineering change.
  • Experience leading technical activities and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Organised, resilient and commercially aware with the confidence to work independently and lead others.
