Job summary

Thales is seeking an Obsolescence Manager for UK Services (Templecombe/Crawley area) with hybrid working. You will manage obsolescence plans, coordinate with engineering and project teams, and ensure timely, budget-compliant deliverables aligned with contractual requirements.

The role requires an engineering degree or equivalent, strong Excel and Office skills, and experience in programme management. Security clearance (SC) is required for this position and UK-based residency is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND in a numerate discipline.
• Microsoft Office (mandatory): strong proficiency beyond basic usage, including macros and advanced Excel functionalities.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in Programme Management; Programme Control; Work Package Management; UK SERVICES; Engineering.
• Experience in the obsolescence domain is not necessary but is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue obsolescence deliverables on time, within budget, and per contractual requirements.
• Publish all obsolescence-related documents to the PLM system and manage the review process.
• Manage budget and resources for Work Packages and ensure allocation in the Programme Management tool.
• Define and maintain obsolescence strategy and monitor obsolescence with suppliers.
• Regularly report progress to Project Managers and Functional Management.
• Proactively monitor obsolescence issues and recommend mitigation activities and LT B procurement where needed.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to align expectations.
• Identify and report risks to Project Managers; perform project-specific activities as agreed.
