Job summary

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is seeking dedicated Maritime Operations Officers who will be the first point of contact for mariners and coastal users in emergencies. You will provide immediate assistance and coordinate responses to ensure safety and security at sea and along our coasts.

Based in our Rescue Coordination Centres, you will work as part of a team, handling calls and coordinating multi-agency responses while following strict operating procedures and maintaining incident logs and

• Act as the first point of call for all public contact.
• Coordinate responses to both emergency and routine issues.
• Work as part of a team to organise the response to emergencies.
• Work with other Emergency Services to ensure the most effective and robust outcome is achieved.
• Ensure that you work to strict operating procedures.
• Accurately record, update and maintain incident logs, records and databases.
