ShipIn is seeking an Applied Computer Vision Researcher to advance AI for maritime CCTV environments and real‑world video understanding on FleetVision. You will bridge research and engineering, building production‑grade capabilities from experiments to deployment across global fleets.

Working with product, data, and operations, you will craft robust AI solutions that perform under challenging conditions and edge constraints, enhancing safety and operational insight at scale.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on CV/Deep Learning experience with production exposure.
• Experience with CCTV or video datasets required.
• Experience deploying models on edge devices or constrained environments.
• Proficient in Python; strong coding practices.
• Deep expertise in PyTorch; solid OpenCV knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of computer vision and deep learning models for maritime CCTV environments, from research to production deployment.
• Design and improve models for continuous video analysis in real-world conditions.
• Explore and evaluate new approaches to expand the platform’s AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, data, and operations to define problems and deliver practical AI solutions.
• Optimize models and inference pipelines for large-scale deployments and constrained environments.
• Stay current with research and apply state-of-the-art methods where they provide value.
