Job summary

Catapult, based in London with a hybrid work model, seeks a Senior Computer Vision & Tracking Engineer to lead the perception stack that turns vision data into athlete performance insights. You will work on edge AI inference, 3D tracking, and data validation, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.

The role spans optimizing models for edge devices, designing new movement analyses, and using data to enhance the system’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in complex systems.
• Demonstrated experience shipping systems to production with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++ across full stack from high-level apps to performance-critical native code.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction of computer vision and tracking from sensor readings through CV, motion recognition, and metric calculation.
• Train, optimize, and deploy neural networks for real-time segmentation and classification on embedded hardware.
• Extend tracking and motion analysis pipeline to support new movements and analyses.
• Own reliability of the domain: analyze tracking accuracy, build quality metrics, and drive improvements across the pipeline.
