Job summary

Civil Works Alliance is seeking a Marine Sub Agent to join the Marine and Tunnels Section and help deliver Sizewell C. You will oversee safety-critical operations, drive performance, coach team members and manage site activities to meet programme targets.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and hands-on experience with HSE systems, risk reviews and quality controls to ensure safe, on-time construction of major civil works.

Qualifications

• Clear communication of safe system of work and ability to stop operations if required.
• Capable of owning tasks and guiding direct reports with clear messaging.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours and nights as required by the programme.
• Strong leadership and teamwork with ability to work independently.
• Decision making based on options and evidence to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Zero Harm focus and monitor safety performance.
• Motivate and manage section team; monitor competency and training.
• Set targets and KPIs; conduct Safety & Environment Tours.
• Allocate resources and ensure appropriate skills within the section.
• Oversee quality systems and handover documentation ownership.
• Produce and review cost and procurement considerations.
• Attend project meetings and report on section performance.
