Job summary

Premier Marinas is seeking a Marina Operative at Weymouth Marina. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves a range of duties across the marina and works on a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays. Full training is provided to develop new skills and deliver excellent customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be friendly, motivated, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people in a busy outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused; friendly with diverse people.
• Confident using computer and POS systems.
• Willing to learn and train on marina operations.
• Experience in a similar role is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at Weymouth Marina.
• Operate POS and handle cash/financial transactions.
• Work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Assist customers indoors and outdoors in a marina environment.

Job Opportunity: Marina Operative Location: Weymouth Marina Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week

Premier Marinas is seeking to recruit a Marina Operative to join our friendly and professional team at Weymouth Marina. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. With full training provided, you'll develop valuable new skills while helping us deliver the exceptional customer experience we're known for.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role involving a range of duties across the marina. You'll work as part of a rota, which will include some weekends and bank holidays.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

• Friendly, customer-focused, and confident communicating with a wide range of people
• Confident using computer systems, electronic point of sales systems and processing financial transactions.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and happy to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a busy marine environment, often in adverse weather conditions.
• Reliable, adaptable, and keen to learn new skills
• Able to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
• Boating or marina experience is an advantage—but not essential, as full training will be provided
• The ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage but not essential.

Experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with us.
