Job Title: Mechanical Technician – Electronics
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 4-day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

We are recruiting experienced individuals to join the Industrial team within Thales OME. You will work closely with team members, Work Cell Manager, and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver outputs as per business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform complex manufacturing operations according to documentation, maintaining quality standards in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Adhere to company processes during all tasks.
  3. Self-assess and approve products.
  4. Support continuous improvement initiatives within Industry.
  5. Detect faults or non-compliance and raise alerts; contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis.
  6. Manage and record product build configurations.
  7. Use company tools (IBS, Palma, etc.) for product assembly tasks.
About you:
  • Ability to assemble and test products to a high standard.
  • Skilled in complex electrical operations, wiring, and component soldering to IPC standards.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic PC skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience in an industrial or engineering environment.
  • IPC training and accreditation.
