Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician in Ely for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will assemble, upgrade and test components of cutting-edge equipment, using electronics, test/measurement and precision mechanical assembly skills.

Responsibilities include assembling and testing subsystems, following manufacturing and testing instructions, and supporting debugging and documentation across the manufacturing unit. A background in high-tech assembly is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-tech assembly / test in regulated industries.
• Proficient with hand tools and test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Cable assembly skills using crimp tools and cutters.
• Experience with test/measurement equipment such as bench power supplies and multimeters.
• Ability to keep accurate records in line with cGMP.

Duration: 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary: Up to £30000 per annum, dependent on experience

Requirements

• Practical experience in high-tech assembly / test - ideally in regulated industries
• A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks including, goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture
• Skilled in using hand tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
• Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools)
• Experience using test/measurement equipment such as bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes
• The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
