Job description

Job title: Manufacturing Technician

Location: Radway Green

Salary: £47,418 inclusive of 25% shift allowance (Basic £37,935)

What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring processes are maintained and operated safely, and escalating safety issues within the production area.
• Maintaining work quality standards and supporting quality improvement projects.
• Operating manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Identifying, raising, and implementing solutions to safety, quality, and production issues.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Mechanical engineering apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (minimum NVQ Level 3).
• Experience in preventative maintenance within a production environment.
• Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing plant and equipment.
• Fault finding with root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions.

Desirable:

• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Experience with pneumatic and automated systems.

The Manufacturing team:

Operates on a 3-shift rotating system, 37 hours per week, with shifts Monday to Thursday (8 hours) and Friday (5 hours) at a 25% shift enhancement. Overtime opportunities are available with additional enhancements.
