Our Water Reduction team requires Plumbing Technicians to support rapid growth. Typical duties to be carried out include water efficiency audits, retrofit installation work (day / night works and projects), and general maintenance duties as required.

The role requires frequent interaction with company clients and some interaction with manufacturers, suppliers and contractors.

The role requires frequent travel to attend client sites and will involve regular staying away from home.

The SaveMoneyCutCarbon Water Reduction division supports businesses in reducing their water consumption and managing water resources more intelligently.

SaveMoneyCutCarbon is looking for qualified plumbers to join the Water Reduction team, to support the division as it experiences an exciting period of growth. This is a great opportunity to join a prospering department in the popular green tech industry, where the work you do will help businesses and the benefit the environment. The Water Reduction division is responsible in SaveMoneyCutCarbon for all water efficiency consultancy and project work, and you will be joining a team amongst existing technicians, and reporting to a Technical Team Manager, with oversight from the Head of Water Reduction and Operations Director.

The role will be based remotely, and the primary focus is supporting with water efficiency audits and carrying out retrofit installation work at client sites across the UK.

Job Description

  • To survey sites, complete survey reports and estimate the cost of the job
  • To carry out the retrofit installation of various washroom appliances
  • To carry out first and second fix plumbing works as required on installation projects
  • To support the Maintenance Team with carrying out maintenance visits to client sites
  • To produce engineer reports detailing works carried out
  • To manage van stock and keep levels optimal for effective execution of site work

Experience

  • Plumbing industry work (essential)
  • Plumbing: the candidate must have successfully completed a plumbing apprenticeship and hold as a minimum a relevant City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 Plumbing qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • Water efficiency work (desirable)
  • Building / construction work (desirable)
  • JIB CSCS card is preferred although the business will support candidates in applying for this
  • Any project management / site supervision experience is preferred
