Day to Day Duties

As a Production Team Leader, you will:

• Oversee and lead the daily operations of the production lines, ensuring targets for health, safety, quality, and output are met
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on the shop floor
• Assist with production planning and coordinate the team to meet production schedules
• Provide hands-on support on the production lines, including stepping in as a backup operator when necessary
• Train and develop staff on production line processes and procedures
• Work closely with the engineering team to assist in machine repairs and maintenance as needed
• Ensure that all team members are fully trained and capable of meeting production demands
• Use problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations

As a Production Team Leader, it is essential to have :

• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential
• A good knowledge of mechanical processes and experience working alongside engineering teams is a plus
• Strong problem-solving attitude, with the ability to think on your feet and handle challenges proactively
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team effectively
• Flexibility to work across different shifts and adapt to production needs
• Own transport is desirable to visit suppliers off-site when necessary
• Being available imminently is desirable for a Production Team Leader role
