Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. are recruiting a Manufacturing Systems Engineer for a global heavy-equipment manufacturer in Northern Ireland. You will join the Production Control team, maintaining systems, BOMs and data accuracy while supporting ERP/MRP performance.

The role emphasizes Lean improvements (Kanban, 5S) and data-driven analysis, partnering with Production, Engineering and Quality to implement changes and provide daily production support.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree, or 2+ years in manufacturing.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) or similar.
• Strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting.
• Proactive, organised approach and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production control systems and processes.
• Keep BOMs, routings and inventory data accurate.
• Support ERP/MRP performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools such as Kanban and 5S.
• Analyse production data to spot improvements and support material flow.
• Work with Production, Engineering and Quality on root cause analysis and engineering changes.
• Provide day-to-day support to the production team.
