Job summary

Haughey Recruitment Ltd in Cookstown seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join the Production Control team. You will develop and improve production control systems, processes and procedures to enhance safety, quality and delivery while reducing costs.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering or equivalent or 2+ years in manufacturing, plus ERP/MRP experience and strong Excel skills. Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline or 2+ years in manufacturing.
• GCSE English and Maths (C+).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, SIGMANEST.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel for tracking/reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and data systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production control systems.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory data.
• Support ERP/MRP system performance and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles.
• Analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support material flow and PFEP activities.
• Work with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineering changes into production.
• Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to production teams.
• Develop and maintain standard processes and procedures.
• Support monthly inventory control activities.
