Job summary

Westmill Foods Limited at the Trafford Park site is seeking an Engineering Leader to direct the site’s engineering function, drive reliability improvements and deliver capital projects. You will shape plans, coach engineers, and collaborate across Operations, Technical and Safety to achieve site goals.

The role focuses on building capability, setting clear expectations, and delivering results in a manufacturing environment. A strong mechanical/electrical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering or maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with maintenance and projects background.
• Ability to manage budgets, prioritise demands and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience using maintenance systems and performance measures to drive improvement.
• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or time-served with HND-level education.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across the Trafford site, guiding teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop and deliver engineering, maintenance and capital plans aligning with site priorities.
• Maintain safe working practices and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, and project engineering teams to deliver improvements.
• Support succession planning and develop future engineering capability.
