Weetabix is seeking a production leader to oversee the secure workflow from arrival of materials to finished products in our Burton Latimer site. You will influence teams to uphold safety, quality, and delivery KPIs while driving cost efficiency and staff morale.

With strong experience in FMCG manufacturing and coaching, you will lead training, allocate resources, and manage cross-functional improvements to support the production plan and business goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in successful facilitation and coaching.
• Proven experience in high-level team management within FMCG or similar manufacturing.
• Familiarity with business improvement methodologies and tools.
• Possession of IOSH Managing Safely certification or willingness to pursue it.

Responsabilités

• Oversee secure production workflow from materials arrival to finished product.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and staff morale KPIs are met.
• Coach and develop the team to meet objectives and standards.
• Oversee training and development to maintain required experience within the team.
• Allocate resources to meet budget and production goals.
• Report shift results and ensure delivery of the production plan.
• Lead continuous process improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Accountable for team performance development and accountability.

The Recipe (About the Role)

The role aims to oversee the secure production workflow, guiding materials from their arrival to the completion of finished products within the designated factory. You'll achieve this through strong team influence, ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and staff morale meet key performance indicators.

• Ensure compliance with legal, food safety, health, safety, environmental, and people policies
• Oversee KPI targets and results for the factory
• Directly take care of and assist your team to meet objectives through coaching and adherence to standards
• Oversee training and development to maintain required experience within the team
• Effectively allocate resources to meet budget and production goals
• Report on shift results regularly and ensure delivery of the production plan
• Oversee improvement projects and encourage continuous process enhancement within cross-functional teams
• Accountable for team performance development through coaching and accountability measures

The Ingredients (What we need from you)

Key Know How

• Demonstrated expertise in successful facilitation and coaching
• Proven experience in high-level team management within a FMCG setting or a comparable industry, preferably with direct involvement in manufacturing
• Familiarity with business improvement methodologies and tools
• Possession of IOSH Managing Safely certification or a willingness to pursue it
• Alignment to Weetabix values
• Are always curious to finding new ways to do business!
• Have the aptitude to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise

Desirable Skills

• Working knowledge of D365
• Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP
