Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for a hands-on Factory Operative to join our client's team, helping manufacture and assemble woodburning stoves. This is a hands-on manufacturing role with full training provided and Monday to Friday hours.

Starting pay is £12.71 per hour with 42.5 hours per week, located in a site to be confirmed. You’ll gain practical manufacturing and assembly skills while working in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with practical work and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in manufacturing.
• Ability to use small hand tools and battery-operated tools.

Responsibilities

• Spray stoves and components in preparation for final assembly.
• Sand welded stoves and parts for shot-blasting readiness.
• Conduct quality checks before shot-blasting.
• Operate shot-blasting equipment to prepare for spraying.
• Clean, prepare and assemble castings and stove components.
• Assemble woodburning stoves at a dedicated workbench.
• Use hand tools and battery-powered tools to complete tasks.
• Support colleagues and assist with general factory duties.

Your Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30-17:00
• Friday: 08:00-15:00

Your Festive To-Do List - What You'll Be Doing

• Spraying stoves and associated components in preparation for final assembly.
• Sanding welded stoves and parts ready for the shot-blasting process.
• Carrying out quality control checks before shot-blasting.
• Operating shot-blasting equipment to prepare stoves for spraying.
• Cleaning, preparing and assembling castings and stove components.
• Assembling woodburning stoves at a dedicated workbench.
• Using hand tools and battery-operated tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Supporting colleagues and assisting with general factory duties as required.
