Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production lines in a factory site environment. Your role combines machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and process improvement to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing.

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking Technical Manufacturing Operators to join their world-class production team. This is an opportunity to work in a cutting-edge facility, ensuring the smooth operation of medium and high-speed production lines that manufacture quality materials for product application.

Your Role - Technical Production Operator

As a Technical Operator / Production Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the production line runs smoothly and efficiently. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, operate, and improve manufacturing processes
  • Carry out machine changeovers and tooling adjustments
  • Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and production performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Operate machinery that processes, converts, and makes materials
  • Run automated or semi-automated machines
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality
  • Monitor performance to ensure smooth operation
  • Diagnose and fix minor mechanical or technical faults
  • Report more complex issues to the engineering team
  • Line changeovers & setups
  • Switch production lines for different products
  • Adjust tooling and settings to match specifications
  • Ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency

Role Requirements & Skills - Technical Production Operator

  • Experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment (manufacturing, automotive, chemicals, or similar)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude – hands-on with machines and equipment
  • A problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in engineering/mechanics is a plus
  • Mechanically minded individuals who enjoy hands-on work
