Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced finance professional to own the month-end close, prepare management accounts and perform variance analysis in a manufacturing environment. You will produce P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, while maintaining ledgers and fixed asset records.

The role includes overseeing ledgers, reconciliations and inventory cost reporting. The ideal candidate holds ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications with 5+ years in accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience (Dynamics

Qualifications

Experience in accounting/finance roles with a manufacturing focus.
Strong month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation skills.
Good knowledge of journals, accruals, prepayments and double-entry bookkeeping.
Excellent Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP) and ability to communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Own the month-end close process and prepare management accounts and variance analysis.
Produce P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and supporting financial information.
Maintain ledgers, journals, reconciliations and fixed asset records.
Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, banking activities and cash flow reporting.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.
Support inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and manufacturing cost reporting.
Ensure VAT, audit requirements, internal controls and SOX compliance.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance controls and reporting efficiency.
