Michael Page is recruiting an Accountant for a client in Wigan. You will manage day-to-day financial operations in the manufacturing sector, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

Responsibilities include month-end closings, variance analysis, forecasts, and collaboration with other departments to improve costs. Hybrid work is available after six months, with a working day from 8:00 to 16:30 and 24 days of leave plus your birthday off.

Qualifications

• Monthly management accounts preparation and analysis.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of financial reporting and compliance.
• Collaboration with other departments to support financial performance and cost control.
• Assist in audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
• Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Produce financial forecasts and reports to assist in strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial performance and cost control.
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
