About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Machine Operator to join a specialist aerospace manufacturer based in Hayes.

We’re looking for someone with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in producing quality work and isn’t afraid to get hands-on. You’ll be trained in specialist laminating and coating processes used to manufacture high-performance materials supplied into the aerospace industry.

This is a varied role where you’ll operate production equipment, help set up machines, monitor production, carry out quality checks and ensure the manufacturing cell continues to run efficiently throughout the shift.

If you’ve worked as a Machine Operator, Production Operator, Workshop Technician or Manufacturing Operative within an engineering or industrial environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate specialist production machinery following full training.
  • Assist with machine set-ups and product changeovers.
  • Monitor production to ensure quality standards and daily targets are achieved.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections and testing.
  • Load and unload production equipment safely.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the manufacturing cell.
  • Complete routine production records.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S.
  • Work safely in line with company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Support colleagues and assist other production departments when required.
What We’re Looking For

We’re far more interested in your attitude and manufacturing experience than direct laminating knowledge.

You’ll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Machine Operating
  • Production Manufacturing
  • Engineering Workshop
  • CNC or Press Machine Operation
  • Print, Packaging or Converting Machinery
  • Assembly or Mechanical Manufacturing

  • Confidence operating industrial machinery.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A commitment to quality and safe working practices.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn specialist manufacturing processes.
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Monday to Friday day shifts.
  • Full training on specialist aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Long-term opportunity with a well-established engineering business.
  • Clean, organised and modern manufacturing environment.
  • Genuine opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.
