Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Machine Operative for a permanent position at Harwell. You will operate and monitor production equipment, support secondary processing, and work with production and engineering teams to meet schedules.

The role offers three shifts (early, day, and afternoon) with shift premia, a competitive salary (£33,000-£36,000), and benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, and on-site perks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Carry out secondary processing activities using a range of specialist machinery and equipment.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand requirements, prioritise workloads, and deliver against agreed schedules.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of internal processes and capabilities.
• Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards across all areas of work.

Job Title:Machine Operative

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 ( shift premium)

Hours – 3 shifts available to pick from

Early shift: Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm (10% shift premium)

Day shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday 1.30pm to 10pm (20% shift premium)
