Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a detail-driven Manufacturing Logistics Operator to synchronise raw materials with production schedules and ensure safe, compliant dispatch of finished goods. This hands-on role operates at pace, requiring accuracy, structure, and a proactive approach to flow across suppliers, shop floor, and customers.

You will manage goods in, production support, and outbound shipping, updating the ERP as products move from WIP to Finished Goods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a manufacturing or engineering warehouse environment.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) Counterbalance or Reach license desirable.
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Supply Chain or Warehouse & Storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw materials, chemicals, or sub-assemblies; verify against Purchase Orders and Certificates of Conformity (CoC).
• Perform initial visual inspections for transit damage and escape quality issues to the QC department before items reach the line.
• “Kit” specific components and deliver them to production cells just-in-time (JIT) to prevent assembly delays.
• Oversee the specialised packing of finished goods, ensuring heavy‑duty crating or anti‑static packaging is used where required.
• Prepare technical shipping documents for domestic and international freight, including HS Codes, Certificates of Origin, and Dangerous Goods notes (if applicable).
• Update the ERP system to reflect the transition from "Work in Progress" (WIP) to "Finished Goods."
