Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Oldham, Greater Manchester, seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to own site safety across a busy manufacturing operation. You’ll drive compliance, lead risk assessments and champion a proactive safety culture with managers and front-line teams.

Applicants will hold NEBOSH Diploma and have strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, plus hands-on risk reduction, incident investigations and machinery safety across industrial environments.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification essential
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
• Good understanding of machinery safety, workplace hazards and safe systems of work
• Proactive, hands-on approach with ownership and drive for improvements
• Collaborative mindset and passion for safer working environment

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards across the site
• Driving a positive safety culture and accountability at all levels
• Maintaining ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance
• Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Investigating accidents and near misses and implementing corrective actions
• Developing safe systems of work and appropriate controls
• Working with managers to identify risks and implement practical solutions
• Supporting Health & Safety training, inductions and awareness
• Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement
• Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
