Job summary

MET Professional is partnering with a growing manufacturing business in the West Midlands to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This newly created role offers ownership of the finance function and close collaboration with the senior leadership team.

You will drive monthly management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, stock costing, and margin analysis while developing the finance team and partnering with operations to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/FCCA credentials.
• Senior finance or Financial Controller experience in manufacturing/SME.
• Strong management accounting and commercial finance experience.
• Stock, inventory, standard costing and margin analysis knowledge.
• Experience leading a finance team and communicating financial information.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Managing month-end processes with timely, accurate information.
• Monitoring cash flow, budgets and financial performance.
• Overseeing stock, inventory accounting, standard costing and product costing.
• Analyzing margins and providing commercial insights for decisions.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Leading and developing the finance team.
• Collaborating with operational teams to improve performance.
• Providing financial analysis to assist senior leadership decisions.
• Developing finance processes, controls and reporting for growth.
