Job summary

MET Recruitment UK LTD is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a growing West Midlands manufacturing SME. The role is to take ownership of the finance function and partner with senior leadership to shape the business.

You will lead the finance team, deliver monthly management accounts and drive commercial insight to improve margins and performance across the organisation. You will also oversee budgeting, cash flow planning, stock costing and internal controls with a hands-on,

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or FCCA).
Senior finance experience in manufacturing or industrial SME.
Strong management accounting and commercial finance experience.
Experience of stock, inventory, product costing and margin analysis.
Previous team leadership experience.
Hands-on, proactive approach with strong commercial awareness.
Ambition to progress into wider business leadership.

Responsibilities

Leading the finance function and managing the finance team.
Overseeing monthly management accounts, financial reporting and month-end processes.
Managing budgets, cash flow and financial planning.
Overseeing stock, inventory, standard costing and product costing.
Analysing margins and providing commercial insight to support business decisions.
Working closely with operational teams and senior leadership.
Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, processes and controls.
