Job summary

2i Recruit Ltd is assisting a multi‑company manufacturing group to appoint an experienced Finance Manager. You will take full responsibility for the accounting function, lead a small finance team, ensure accurate reporting and strong controls, and support growth in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or qualified by experience, 10+ years in finance leadership, and a hands‑on, commercially minded approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• 10+ years in managing an accounts department or finance team.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Hands-on finance approach with deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for accounting functions, records and reporting.
• Lead month-end processes, forecasting and analysis.
• Produce monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Analyze financial data to assess performance and health.
• Ensure timely internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Maintain payroll records and cash management.
• Prepare year-end figures and liaise with auditors and HMRC.
• Prepare VAT returns and manage deferred VAT/import duty accounts.
• Oversee purchase ledger and supplier payments.
• Review depreciation journals and fixed asset registers.
