Job summary

VanRath are representing a leading manufacturing and distribution organisation in Northern Ireland seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the finance function and drive strategic decisions.

You will lead a finance team, maintain controls, manage budgeting and reporting, and collaborate with operations to optimise costs and working capital. The role offers a competitive package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and extensive finance management experience.
• Proven background within manufacturing, distribution, or similar sectors.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills; experience with financial controls and audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and report findings to senior management.
• Maintain financial controls, oversee reconciliations, and coordinate external audits.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Collaborate with operational teams to optimise manufacturing costs and inventory management.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital management.
• Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team to achieve high performance.
• Implement process efficiencies and support digital transformation projects within finance.
