Job summary

VANRATH, in Antrim, is seeking a commercially astute Management Accountant to drive cost control and financial insights in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Accounts (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent.
• Experience in cost accounting within manufacturing.
• Strong Excel, MS Word and accounting systems skills; Oracle desirable.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes and UK/US GAAP.
• Results-driven, energetic with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexible and willing to cross-train within a dynamic finance team.

Responsibilities

• Cost machinery, materials, labour and overheads, and set annual standards.
• Review machine margins and manage inventories with cycle counts and variance analysis.
• Monitor raw material prices and control factory overheads and efficiency metrics.
• Support budgeting and forecasting; identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Prepare month-end financial reports on time to meet deadlines.
• Assist in internal and external audits and support control reviews.
• Contribute to BI and management reporting improvements.
• Provide KPI data and support financial management across departments.
