Job summary

Anne Corder Recruitment Ltd is helping a Peterborough manufacturing business fill a Financial Controller role. You will own plant-level financial performance, deliver cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and act as a finance business partner to the site leadership team.

You will lead manufacturing cost control, capital expenditure reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, translating numbers into actionable insights for senior stakeholders across the operation.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years' controlling experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience of modern production and manufacturing cost control.
• Knowledge of product costing, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Some financial accounting experience, including GL and AP.
• Advanced Excel and BI skills.
• ERP experience, SAP, Infor M3 or similar would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Owning plant-level financial performance and providing cost, yield, and CAPEX insight.
• Prepare management reports and variance analysis; support budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse factory performance across yield, efficiency, overheads and capital expenditure.
• Identify opportunities to optimise manufacturing costs and profitability; challenge weekly reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and financial control standards.
