Job summary

HOIST is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with a strong manufacturing ERP background to join our client-driven team in Birmingham. You will gather requirements, analyze processes, create user stories and ensure solutions align with business goals.

You will translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders, perform gap analyses, collaborate with development teams, and support testing, training, and documentation to drive successful ERP implementations.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience within Manufacturing environments and ERPs.
Experience with shop orders, shop floors, material consumption, time allocation against orders, and cost in manufacturing.
Post-secondary education in engineering or related manufacturing field.
Minimum 3 years in client-facing roles.
Minimum 2 years of ERP implementation or upgrade projects.
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Gather and define project requirements with stakeholders.
Analyze business processes, systems, and user needs to propose solutions.
Create and maintain functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Perform gap analyses between requirements and current systems.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure correct implementation and timely issue resolution.
Support design/architecture discussions to align with business goals.
Assist in training sessions and user documentation.
