Job summary

HOIST is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong manufacturing background to join our client-driven team. You will analyze business processes, define requirements, and translate them into clear user stories and use cases for ERP projects, ensuring alignment with production flows and costing.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, support design discussions, perform gap analyses, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing environments and ERPs.
• Experience with shop orders, shop floors, material flow, cost considerations, efficiencies and utilization.
• Post-secondary education with a focus in engineering or manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent English communications and client-facing experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and legally eligible to work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define project requirements.
• Analyze business processes, systems and user needs to identify solutions and improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed functional and non-functional documents, user stories, and use cases.
• Translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders and perform gap analyses.
• Work with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and timely issue resolution.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions to align with business goals.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
• Assist in testing and quality assurance to ensure software meets requirements.
• Support project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
• Provide ongoing support and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
