Job summary

Cavendish Maine is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in the United Kingdom to lead a team of Machine Setters and Maintenance Engineers. The role focuses on maintaining safe, efficient operations, driving continuous improvement and reducing downtime across multiple product lines.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in cycle times and machine capacity while maintaining robust engineering records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in chemical, process, mechanical, manufacturing or related engineering disciplines.
• Significant process engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience undertaking HAZOP and process risk assessment.
• Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Machine Setters and Maintenance Engineers to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and disruptions.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance across the site.
• Drive continuous improvements and efficiency of manufacturing productivity.
• Analyse cycle times and machinery capacity to optimise output.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
