About the Company: We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager to lead the setup and daily running of our low-volume, high-performance vehicle manufacturing line. This is a rare opportunity to shape and manage a new production facility from day one, overseeing all aspects of vehicle build, team leadership, and continuous improvement. This role combines strategic planning with operational execution, demanding a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of electric performance engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all vehicle production activities, ensuring high-quality builds delivered on time and to spec.
• Lead the setup and commissioning of a new production facility, including layout planning, equipment specification, and process development.
• Build, mentor, and manage a multi-skilled team of technicians, supervisors, and support staff.
• Implement and continuously improve production systems, SOPs, and safety practices.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to support prototype builds and transition to series production.
• Drive production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet build targets and customer delivery timelines.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, efficiency, cost, and output.
• Own issue escalation and resolution within the production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a production leadership role, ideally within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or a low volume/high-performance engineering environment.
• Track record of successfully setting up or scaling manufacturing operations.
• Strong people management skills and ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of production systems, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Passion for engineering excellence and enthusiasm for electric vehicle innovation.
• Experience with electric vehicle components or systems.
• Exposure to composite structures, precision assembly, or motorsport-grade engineering.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or other quality systems.
