Job summary
MBDA UK is seeking a manufacturing support engineer to translate design requirements into user instructions and to develop the project manufacturing architecture. You will coordinate day-to-day support for operations staff on site at Stevenage.
The role offers growth across manufacturing architecture, industrial validation and future opportunities. You will work with the Principal Engineer on multiple projects to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
Qualifications
- Formal technical Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
- Degree in engineering considered as alternative.
- Proactive problem solving and ability to meet delivery milestones.
Responsibilities
- Support existing manufacturing lines and new product introduction.
- Support validation via FMEA and process proving activities.
- Manage configuration control and embed design changes in manufacturing docs.
- Assist the non-conformance process and corrective actions.
- Ensure safety, efficiency and cost considerations in production.
- Coordinate with COSHH, SHE and human factors for changes.
- Develop and update Manufacturing Instructions and BOMs.
- Develop tooling and control strategies.
